I feel most productive in the quiet moments—usually early in the morning or after my child has settled down for the day.

When you’re raising children, you become every job known to man to them. Doctor, teacher, counselor and most days uber driver. Your day can feel full before it even begins. Not to mention the age gap so just when you’ve worked a system with one, you’re starting a new system with another. Some days there are emotions, frustrations, and moments where your children are all over the place. So, for me productivity doesn’t always look like a long to-do list—it looks like small, meaningful wins.

For me, the best time to focus is when there’s a little calm. That’s when I can plan simple reading activities, think of fun ways to keep learning stress-free, and show up with patience instead of pressure.

Because the truth is—being there for your kids isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about showing up consistently, even in the small moments.

And those small moments? They add up more than you think.
